The Different Company

A French house with an English name: that alone tells you much about this characterful, unconventional perfume house, founded in 2000 by designer Thierry De Baschmakoff and master perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena. It creates haute parfumerie to its own distinct vision, without compromise. Only the finest ingredients, in the highest concentrations, are good enough for the perfumes of The Different Company.

When Jean-Claude became the in-house perfumer at Hermès in 2004, his daughter Céline followed in his footsteps. And with flair, for her creations were widely praised and left a firm mark on the creative direction of the company. Today, The Different Company also invites guest perfumers to work with complete freedom on boundary-pushing fragrance creations.
