Yvra 1958

Born in 1958, Yvo Van Regteren Altena comes from a distinctive, artistic Dutch family with deep roots in the history of Amsterdam. From the age of six, Yvo realised he had the gift of ‘the nose’ and began to explore fine fragrances. At eighteen, the international fragrance house IFF invited him to become a ‘nose’ and offered him a position in New York City. In the end he studied law in Amsterdam and found his way into journalism.

Yvo has travelled the world and has documented a dandy lifestyle for more than thirty years. As a journalist, he immersed himself in everything that defines good taste, decadent living and perfume. He travelled the world, met the greatest ‘noses’ and was influenced by their obsession with the right blend of captivating ingredients.

These experiences and cultural influences remain the inspiration behind the distinctive fragrances of YVRA to this day. Even the most discerning, modern dandies are fans.
