It’s not often that I fall for a new brand at first sight, but this time it was instant!
Courrèges is a fashion house with an illustrious history and a wonderfully alluring collection of eau de parfums. The cool bottle design and the wholly original scents are something you really must come and see and smell in our shops.

The Courrèges fashion house

After ten years as a designer at Balenciaga, André Courrèges founded the Courrèges fashion house in 1961 together with his wife Coqueline. Courrèges is known for its forward-looking, high-end fashion pieces, among them the miniskirt, the short white dress and trousers for women. The clean lines and avant-garde silhouettes are refined and boundary-pushing at once.

Empriente was the first perfume

The illustrious couple’s first perfume launched in 1970, named Empriente. Empriente is a floral perfume for women, created by nose Robert Gannon. Like the designs, the perfume was thoroughly modern too, built on artemisia, coriander, bergamot, melon and the musky, sweet scent of castoreum.

Casual and elegant

For the brand’s sixtieth anniversary, the Belgian Nicolas Di Felice, artistic director of Courrèges, breathed new life into the perfumes and released a distinctive Hyper and Colorama collection.

The Colorama fragrances were created in collaboration with renowned perfumers, their colours matching their character. The nude shade of Seconde Peau, for instance, comes close to the soft, warm scent of skin, while L’eau de Liesse reveals the sparkling character of neroli and orange blossom. A new version of the legendary Empreinte has also joined the collection: the red L’Empriente, which symbolises the meeting of two beings.

The scents in the Hyper collection are layered, with musk, leather or oud, and are crafted with the attention to detail that suits the Courrèges wardrobe so well.

The perfumes from the Colorama collection are also available as a Scented Candle. The candles come in lacquered glass jars, sustainably produced in France, with a cotton wick and a lid of lacquered wood from the French Jura. Each candle burns for around 47 hours and fills your home with your favourite Courrèges scent. Will you come by soon to find your favourite?
