Description

Bizzarria is an original, unexpected eau de parfum that reflects striking notes of cedarwood. The Bizzarria is the most singular citrus tree of all, bringing together the characters of lemon, bitter orange and etrog (an elongated citrus fruit). First studied in the monastery gardens in 1644, it lives again today thanks to its chance rediscovery in the garden of the Villa Medicea di Castello in 1980. A Bizzarria never sets out to choose its form; it always creates something new and unusual in each of its distinctive fruits.

In 1221, the faithful founded the monastery of Santa Maria Novella in Florence and began laying out a garden filled with flowers and herbs. Since 1612, the Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, the oldest pharmacy in the world, has been making artisanal products based on biodynamically grown herbs and flowers.

The classic colognes and the lovely products for hair, face, body, hands and feet are still made to centuries-old recipes, in the same authentic, artisanal way.
