The French house Trudon was founded in 1643 and is the oldest candle maker still in operation anywhere in the world. Through the 17th century, Trudon supplied the French royal court, and later Napoléon Bonaparte. The candles are still made by hand at the factory in Normandy, and are of unequalled quality and beauty.
