Description

Patchouli is a distinctive natural scent. Unlike 99% of perfume ingredients, patchouli is associated with a particular era, the 1960s and 1970s, and that unmistakable bohemian feeling. Its cool, subtle aroma has a woody touch that gives it its dark character. Two patchouli elements are used in the fragrance. The main note is patchouli coeur, a pure, soft fraction of patchouli oil, without the camphor-like top note. Alongside it, a patchouli oil from Indonesia rounds off the whole beautifully. The result is a refined, pure patchouli that pairs very well with Molecule 01.

Escentric Molecules owes its existence and unrivalled popularity to a scent molecule not found in nature: Iso-E Super, a synthetic, sweet and velvety woody note. Perfumer Geza Schoen was convinced the concept would appeal only to true fragrance enthusiasts, yet from its launch in 2006 Escentric Molecules became a worldwide phenomenon.

For every minimalist masterpiece in this collection, Schoen uses just a single (synthetic) base ingredient. The perfumes are anything but dull, however. Each scent develops differently on the skin, giving you a unique fragrance that no one else wears. That also makes these scents ideal for layering with your other favourite perfumes.
