Description

With its exotic scent, ‘Odalisque’ carries you away to the Ottoman Empire. Rich fabrics, smoke rising from a water pipe, sensual music: this is every painter’s dream. From behind a green plant, a veiled woman suddenly appears: an ‘odalisque’. Odalisques were women who served the sultan’s wives, and in paintings they are often depicted nude, reclining and languid. They could improve their social standing by becoming the sultan’s favourite concubine, or eventually his wife. With its notes of citrus and vanilla, this candle is as rich and alluring as an Oriental painting. Fill your home with this romantic scent, which you can enjoy for 55 to 60 hours.

– This scented candle is made from essential oils and 100% plant-based wax, containing palm, rice, soy and copra among others. The gold label on the candles is made exclusively for Cire Trudon by the oldest manufacturer of champagne labels in France. Printed in gold lettering with Cire Trudon’s logo and the inscription used since Louis XIV: ‘deoregique laborant’ (“they work for the king and for God”). The glass holder is hand-blown and sits refined and elegant in any interior.

How to use

– The candle is made from natural wax and burns for 55 to 60 hours.

– The holder is glass and the wick is cotton.
