Before they changed the world, no one had imagined a New Civilisation built on nothing but nerve and daring. One morning, 10,000 men, like many others, left the land of their birth in search of freedom. They had no hope of return. Yet unlike their fellow travellers, they held dreams larger than life itself. They were not afraid of obstacles and celebrated every moment of their adventurous lives. Within 100 years they built a country in which nothing stood still: the United States of America. They became known as the ‘Upper Ten’.
